Architectureweek 3.

Bartlett summer show. I had heard before that it was going to be sort of a big event, but had never expected that many people! We got there an hour after opening and headed straight for the 50m line to get in to the exhibition. Inside you where met by a massive display of the students work. Extremely small amount of text, which in a way made it hard to take in, but at the same time made the whole thing more joyful and enjoyable. I simply drifted around, letting the attention of one drawing/model over an other decide in what direction to go next. The place was crowded, warm and sweaty, so I will have to go back another day during the week and check it out more in my own pace to really be able to say something about it.

Duncan said before that the opening night is more for meeting up with a lot of people than actually looking at the work. Since the number of people we know here is pretty limited I didn’t expect us to bump in to anyone. But shortly after arriving we ran into Abelardo. And just after that we spotted Stefano, one of the exchange students in our studio in Texas! Last time we saw him was in a downstairs lighting gallery in NY. Bizarre. He was over in London, from Innsbruck, for the show. We also had a chat with Mårten from Copenhagen, and met with the Lund students that have been studying at the Bartlett. So after all is was a really social event!
