Situation Report.
I have for the last weeks been searching for plastics, or foams, to build models out of for my project. Yesterday I went to a model shop, which turned out to only sell tin soldiers, or people. Fantastic little things, but not what I was after! The good thing though was that the guy that had the shop was very helpful and knew about another shop that would have what I was looking for. The name of the place is Alec Tiranti and you will find it at 27 Warren Street. So if you are looking for plasters, clay, foams, or tools. This is the place!
So this morning I tried to get up early, get over to the shop, get what I needed and start making models. Now it's three o'clock and I still haven't started. First you have to have something to build out of. But now, that I am sitting here with something to build out of, I don't really know what to build. I did tests earlier this week with some foam that was way to uncontrollable to give anything, and yesterday I had a desperate moment when I started to whip egg whites! It did work kind of ok though... But of course not very long-lasting or efficient on a bigger scale!
The other a bit depressing thing that happened yesterday was that I finally got a response from R Soar, and he is willing to see me and have a discussion about my work. I was basically jumping up and down since I think that it might lead to a big break-through for me... Later it turned out though that he is busy til July, so we now have a date on the third of July.... Patience....
Well, that is the current situation on my work. The play part has been getting a long better lately… It was a busy weekend with David and Valerie coming over for dinner on Friday night. Which was really nice! Saturday we went out with Chris, and Sunday was the surprise birthday party for Rochelle! The party was at the Wine Bar, which is slowly turning into my absolute favourite place to spend a night! Friendly staff, great food, and really good selection of wines, and all just down on the corner!
Ok, ok, time to head back to that clay I just got myself!
